BX Shinsei Seiki's rolling shutter motors can be used with a variety of rolling shutters ranging from compact lightweight shutters through to large heavyweight shutters, e.g. lightweight shutters for shop fronts (polycarbonate shutters, grille shutters, and garage shutters); heavyweight shutters for commercial and warehouse facilities or factories; super heavyweight shutters for aircraft hangars. These motors suit diverse life styles and satisfy market needs for more advanced technologies. They can be used with single-phase 220 to 240 V, three-phase 380 to 415 V at frequencies of 50/ 60 Hz, in construction projects in various countries and regions throughout the world.
GS Series Rolling Shutter Motors
The GS Series Rolling Shutter Motor line-up includes four models that are all equipped with a DC brushless motor.
The motor in this series incorporate an obstacle sensing mechanism, and thus do not require any additional work for installing sensors, thereby being less labor intensive.
When compared to conventional products, their noise levels have been reduced by 5 dB and sound pressure by 50%.
Utilization of regenerative current generated during the descending operation of the shutter reduces power consumption by approximately 50% from the conventional models, thereby realizing greater "Energy Conservation."
ULC Series Rolling Shutter Motors
The ULC Series Rolling Shutter Motor line-up includes four models that contribute to rolling shutter compactification.
The series includes the motors for lightweight to middle-weight shutters that can have their external appearance finished with no projections as the shutters can be so installed that their cross-sections fit within the BT bracket area.
ULA/ULB Series Rolling Shutter Motors
The ULA/ULB Series Rolling Shutter Motor line-up includes six models that enable a high degree of freedom with shutter designs.
This series includes the Motors for middle-weight to heavyweight shutters that can be installed at any angle ranging from horizontal to 45 degrees via use of BA brackets.
USA/SSA/SSB Series Rolling Shutter Motors
The USA/SSA/SSB Series Rolling Shutter Motor line-up includes seven models that can be directly mounted onto structural bodies.
The series includes the motors for middle-weight to super heavyweight shutters with a winding capacity of 400 kg to 4300 kg.
This series enables a high degree of freedom with shutter designs, thereby allowing for different installation areas.
The models in this series can be used to repair (or replace) other company's products if the winding capacity falls within the pertinent specifications.
US Series Rolling Shutter Motors
The US Series Explosion-proof Rolling Shutter Motor line-up includes two models that can be used in explosive atmospheres.
The series complies with the "JIS d2G4" explosion class that corresponds to "IEC (International Electro-technical Commission) Exd2BT4," and has a special structure that can be installed in hazardous facilities such as petroleum refining plants or chemical resin plants.
The development, manufacture, and sale of products all take place in an integrated in-house system. High quality and highly-functional Rolling Shutter Motors made in Japan suit diverse life styles and meet the market need for advanced technologies, and thus enjoy a high reputation and deep levels of trust of customers.
Limit switch section
The highly precise limit switch can ensure stopping control of rolling shutters with an accuracy of between minus 8 mm and plus 4 mm.
Due to its excellent operability, the upper and lower limits of a shutter can be easily set using a one-touch lever.
This high-quality limit switch has the maximum rotation speed of 650 rpm, and thus is well capable of being used with shutters for stories with a height of 5 meters.
Control panel section
The control section composed of high-precision electronic circuits, whose safety has been verified by EMC (Electro Magnetic Accountability) and EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) tests, conforms to VCCI-class A.
The insulation resistance, insulation distance, and withstanding voltage conform to JIS-C-0704 of JIS (Japan Industrial Standard).
The contacts of magnetic contactors and electromagnetic relays are equipped with components with the contact ratings of 150% or more of the rated current and hence the electrical life span of the magnetic contactors exceeds 100,000 operations and the mechanical life span exceeds 1,000,000 operations. A knife switch, a no-fuse breaker, and a safety breaker are all mounted inside and near the control panel to electrically protect the circuits.
Reducer
The reducer section is so designed to be highly-durable via use of machine elements (for example bearings) and lubricant (grease) with a durability of more than 10,000 opening and closing operations.
The gears, whose teeth are precisely machined in-house, make a significant contribution to the high level of durability.
The main body of the operator has a durability life that allows more than 15,000 times of electrical opening/closing operations or operations for more than 10 years for shutters used in stories with a height of 5 meters.
Brake section
The highly reliable brake section incorporates a centrifugal force brake. By operating a controlled-descent lever, a parachute system is activated, thus enabling safe descent of the shutter.
In addition, installing an optional automatic closing system enables the shutter to descend through its own gravitational force (Controlled Descent) and safely close in emergencies such as a fire.
In preparation for power outages, the brake section incorporates a short chain that enables manual operation.
The brake case can be freely rotated (360 degrees) by loosening four screws, and fixed in an arbitrary position that ensures easy operation of the short chain.
The brake is so structured that consumable parts such as brake linings can be easily replaced, and spare parts are available for 10 years after any discontinued production.
Motor section
The motor section is so designed to ensure safety and security and has functions to prevent any overheating of the motor via the activation of a thermal protector if overheated due to being overloaded, and simultaneously protect control devices by ceasing operation with a circuit that is structured to cut off any current flowing through the operator.
The thermal class of the insulator used in the motor is class E, whose maximum supported temperature is 120 ℃.
The rated time exceeds 5 minutes with a single-phase motor and 10 minutes with a three-phase motor.
Since foundation in 1951, BX Shinsei Seiki Co., Ltd., has been developing, manufacturing, and selling a wide variety of Rolling Shutter Motors and shutter peripheral devices as a manufacturer that specializes in rolling shutter operating systems.
